We’re at the Apple Store in Soho. It’s a but like being at Humana Festival, except it’s Apple-lovers instead of theatre-lovers. And there are no plays. And it’s in SoHo. Anyway, it rules.

This day has been a bit of a bust, in a way. We went to breakfast with Krista, then went straight to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. (We did stop for coffee on the way.) Couple of great hours at the Met, then we left. Therein started the tragedy.

It was raining when we left, and we didn’t get our stuff out of coat check. TKTS was packed and there was next to nothing on the board. A failure. Went back to Union Square to meet Dave for sushi, but the place was too expensive. The fancy pizza place we went to was also too expensive. We went into Barnes & Noble and looked into some guidebooks, but no dice, no good ideas. So, Acacia suggested John’s Pizzeria. Good idea. Comfort food.

So, we’re wet, very wet, and we’re about to be cold. We’re gonna get on the subway and head to the Met and get our stuff. Then a couple of hours to kill, and we’re seeing Kurt Elling. I’m hurrying because we have to go.

Later.
