I must be kind of bored. I’m writing to myself two days in a row. I guess to be a blogger, you have to get over the bizarre personal/public divide (or lack thereof) and just accept what you’re doing. I must accept the fact that I’m keeping track of stuff no one but me really cares about. I could do this on my computer, or on a piece of paper, and NOT post it to the world wide web for anyone who stumbles across it to read. But I choose instead to broadcast it. Here’s the 5:38 Slaybaugh news, for everyone who’s keeping tabs on me, me, and most importantly me.
I probably won’t ever get over that.
I did have something to say, but I now I feel like a jerk saying it.
And now the sincere part. I have some enthusiasm for a game. It’s been a few months since I was playing video games with any regularity, but I traded in a bunch yesterday for two new ones and one has me really, really excited. Shadow of the Colossus. Have you seen this thing? If not, go click the title back there. It’s sincerely the most amazing video game ever. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Last night, playing the very beginning of the game, I actually felt moved by it. MOVED! EMOTIONALLY! And not in a “wow-this-car-is-going-fast-that-gun-is-cool” kind of way. More in a “I-can’t-believe-what-I’m-doing-here-and-how-overwhelming-this-is” kind of way.
