From the book of Pressfield. (Well the first one.)
RESISTANCE IS INFALLIBLE Like a magnetized needle floating on a surface of oil, Resistance will unfailingly point to true North—meaning that calling or action it most wants to stop us from doing. We can use this. We can use it as a compass. We can navigate by Resistance, letting it guide us to that calling or action that we must follow before all others.
Rule of thumb: The more important a call or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh …. so yes, you are feeling that way because it’s resistance. It’s not the truth (Resistance lies). Wondering if that project’s worth pursuing? If it wasn’t you wouldn’t be questioning it so much. If it wasn’t you wouldn’t feel so tired just thinking about it. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t have three empty notebooks, all with the project’s name carefully written on the cover and nothing inside. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t be asking all your friends what they think of it.
Chances are – and this might be the scary part – Resistance knows what’s good for you even better than you do.
(And if Resistance isn’t pissing you off enough with it’s frustrating infallibility, just picture Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig and his smugness.)
